VANATS News and Announcements

• VANATS is pleased to announce the Spring Conference, March 6 & 7, 2009 at Shenandoah University in Winchester, Virginia. Mary Ann Hart, Chair of the voice department at the Indiana University Jacobs School of Music, will be our clinician. Mary Ann's expertise is in the area of German lieder and also how we use our imaginations to bring songs to life. Watch for more information to come. • The Mid-Atlantic Regional Spring Conference is scheduled for April 3 & 4, 2009 on the beautiful campus of Appalachian State University in Boone, North Carolina.
• Congratulations again to Danielle Talamantes, soprano (winner of the 2006 NATSAA competition and member of VANATS and the Mid-Atlantic Region) Danielle's 2006 - 2008 'reign' culminated in a beautiful solo recital at the 50th National NATS conference in Nashville, Tennessee June 30, 2008.
• VANATS will be adopting and implementing by-laws specific to our chapter this coming spring 2009. Watch for further information and posting of the by-laws on this site.
